Register to compete in tennis at the Summer Iowa Games

The 2025 Summer Iowa Games are set to take place in the Grinnell and Boone areas. The adult tennis and youth tennis events occur July 18-20 at McHose Park and Boone Middle School in Boone, Iowa.

 

There are singles, doubles and mixed doubles events, and participants will receive a free T-shirt. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top-three finishers in each division.

 

“The Iowa Games is a great opportunity for the whole family to come out and play,” said Jed Hammen, Iowa Games tennis commissioner. “It’s a fun weekend of tennis celebrating our great state. We have wonderful facilities, and we are looking forward to hosting the games in Boone.”

 

Registration cost from June 3 to July 1 is $35 for one event. Each additional event costs $5.

Additionally, the tennis portion of the Iowa Senior Games took place June 6-7 in West Des Moines for athletes aged 50 and over.

 

And later this summer, Greater Des Moines will play host to the 2025 National Senior Games on July 24 to Aug. 4. The National Senior Games is the largest multi-sport championship event in the world for adults 50 and over.

 

Athletes who qualified for the NSG in 2024 will be competing in more than 20 unique sports. The tennis action is slated to take place at Life Time in Urbandale, Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines and Northwest High School in Waukee.
