Iowa Wins Tennis On Campus Section Championships
Congratulations to the University of Iowa for taking home the USTA Missouri Valley Tennis on Campus Section Championship title in March.
The Iowa Hawkeyes qualified for the Tennis on Campus National Championship tournament in Orlando, Florida, which has since been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Iowa’s win marks their fourth USTA Missouri Valley championship win in the last ten years, with a first-place finish also in 2015, 2014 and 2011.
The talent on the court made for an exciting weekend in Des Moines, as each university brought their A game to every match.
Other Iowa teams battling one another to qualify for nationals through tournament pool play included Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, and Drake University. Eleven other USTA Missouri Valley Tennis on Campus teams outside of Iowa also came to fight for the championship as well.
Congratulations to the Iowa Hawkeyes on this great victory!
