Meet Your New Digital Assistant
We are pleased to announce Tammy Arbuckle will represent USTA Iowa to assist with digital content.
A graduate of Iowa State University, Arbuckle’s background is in marketing, communications, public relations and brand management and she works for Corteva Agriscience (heritage DuPont Pioneer). Arbuckle lives in Grimes (Des Moines suburb) with her husband, Kirk, and daughters Taylor and Ashley. The family is active at Life Time Athletic in Urbandale, where Taylor is in the Elite Tennis Academy and Ashley is in the green ball program. Arbuckle played tennis for Johnston High School as will her daughter, who is a 9th grade student-athlete at Johnston.
Before Arbuckle’s family was active in tennis, her daughters were at Chow’s Gymnastics in West Des Moines in the Junior Olympic competitive program, where Arbuckle served on the Booster Club Board and as the Meet Director over the years.
When Arbuckle is not busy supporting her girls in their athletic journey, she can be found volunteering at some capacity and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones.
We asked Arbuckle why she had interest in being a part of the USTA Missouri Valley team, and she said “I was looking for a way to connect more to the sport, outside of match play. I now look forward to building relationships with others in the midwest who also enjoy the game."
She looks forward to bringing you tennis news and information relating to youth development, junior team tennis, adult leagues, health and fitness, tournaments and events as well as parks & recreation program updates and where to catch a college match.
