Summer JTT Updates

Kendra Wicks | June 23, 2020

Despite a shortened season due to COVID-19, Junior Team Tennis is back in action!

The program is based in Wichita and will follow the format of the winter JTT matches. Teams of four players compete in timed matches played to 25 minutes. The scores are then reported, and the total games accumulate per team. This format offers play for 14 & Under and 18 & Under Intermediate players.

This format of play was developed by Kansas JTT Coordinator Janet Glaser for a shortened winter season.

“It was pretty popular, everyone seemed to like it,” Glaser said. “I’m really excited to do it again for sure.”

Junior Team Tennis is an excellent way for young athletes to play competitively. It allows juniors to improve their tennis, communication and sportsmanship all at once.

Players will need a team number to register. Click here for more information.
