USTA Kansas, Emporia State University host Play With the Players event
On Oct. 19, USTA Kansas and Emporia State University hosted the annual Play with the Players event at Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka, Kan.
From 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., ESU men’s and women’s tennis players led participants of all ages and abilities through instruction, drills and match play. The collegiate players also paired up with attendees for doubles play.
“There was a good turnout from the Emporia community for the second Play with the Players event at Emporia State University, hosted by ESU Tennis and USTA Kansas,” said Don Eccles, event organizer and USTA Kansas board member. “Those participating enjoyed an absolutely beautiful weather day as they mixed and mingled with ESU tennis players and coaches for fun drills and match play.
“The ESU players, coaches and community participants of all ages had a great time getting to know each other, improving their tennis game and just enjoying tennis on a perfect fall day.”
