Wrapping Up Winter JTT
This past winter, Kansas Junior Team Tennis Coordinator Janet Glaser ran a pilot winter JTT program that proved highly successful. These JTT events featured teams of four with timed matches played to 25 minutes. The scores were then reported, and total games accumulated per team.
Junior Team Tennis is an excellent way for young athletes to play competitively. It allows juniors to improve their tennis, communication and sportsmanship all at once. Players can compete on one of two tracks: Local Junior Team Tennis and Championship Junior Team Tennis. The local track will allow kids to play on a local level, while the championship track will give players the opportunity to advance and compete for the national championship.
