Missouri Valley Players Represent at National Senior Olympics

Several USTA Missouri Valley players from multiple districts competed at the National Senior Olympics in Fort Lauderdale, FL in May. The games are a biennial competition for men and women 50 and older that began in 1985 in St. Louis. Tennis is one of 20 sports played, making it the largest multi-sport event in the world for seniors. 

 

The tennis competition offers Men's and Women's singles and doubles, as well as Mixed doubles. Below are the results of USTA Missouri Valley players in their respective competitions.

 

Men's 50 & Over Singles

Bob Mason - Tulsa, Oklahoma - 1st Place

 

Men's 85 & Over Singles

Ron Perdue - Tulsa, Oklahoma - 2nd Place

 

Men's 85 & Over Doubles

Women's 75 & Over Doubles

Laura Baetz - St. Louis, Missouri - 2nd Place

Judy McGaugh - Chesterfield, Missouri - 2nd Place
