Ballkids needed for Lasers matches

The Springfield Lasers are seeking ballkids for their upcoming season.

 

In addition to assisting with the balls in play, ballkids also assist in running the scoreboards and hand the players towels.

 

The Lasers are seeking about 25 kids ages 10-18 to volunteer for the season. The deadline to express an interest in volunteering is June 15. Please call the Cooper Tennis Complex at 417-837-5800 if you or your child is interested.

 

The Lasers home matches this season are:

Sun., July 14 Season opener Philadelphia at Springfield

Tues., July 16 Orlando at Springfield

Wed, July 17 New York at Springfield

Thurs., July 18 Washington at Springfield

Wed., July 24 San Diego at Springfield

Tues., July 30 Orange County at Springfield

Wed., July 31 Las Vegas at Springfield

 

The Lasers, defending champions for the WTT’s King Trophy, assembled a mix of returning stars and WTT newcomers for the 2019 team.

    For the first time since 2017, the Springfield Lasers will not hoist the King Trophy. Springfield finished seventh in the World TeamTennis standings in a unique season. WTT played its entire season at The Greenbrier resort in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. The top four teams qualified for the playoffs, a cut the playoffs missed by just two games.     The Springfield Lasers will be defending their back-to-back WTT championships at the historic Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The league’s nine teams will play all 66 matches of the 2020 season at The Greenbrier. Read More
