USTA Missouri Klousias Named Volunteers of the Month

Jim Klousia is the Teaching Pro at Hickory Hills Country Club in Springfield, MO. Jim has been an integral part in teaching and promoting tennis in the area for years! Coach Klousia recently held a Smashers tournament and did a fantastic job as Tournament Director. He gave every player a T-shirt and played games with the kids. Jim did a great job explaining the rules carefully and in a positive way, encouraged the players, and always had a smile on his face.  

His wife, Elizabeth Klousia, went above and beyond to make the players and parents feel extra special. She baked cookies for everyone and brought roses to give to the Mothers as the event took place on Mother’s Day. She ensured every player received the right sized T-shirt and greeted everyone at the door with a friendly welcome! Elizabeth arrived early, stayed through the entire event and was a court monitor during play. A huge shout out and thanks to Jim and Elizabeth Klousia for going the extra mile to make the tournament such a great experience for everyone involved!
