Nebraska Natives Win Section Adaptive Championship
Nebraska natives Haley Waggoner (Lincoln) and her partner/coach Nancy Samson (Omaha) have qualified for the USTA National Adaptive Championship held October 12-13 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida.
Waggoner and Samson won the USTA Missouri Valley Adaptive Section Championship at Maize South High School in Wichita, Kansas, June 8-9. Adaptive athletes and their partners competed in doubles matches to determine an overall team winner.
The section championship was held in conjunction with the annual Fred Johnson ALL Stars event, which brings adaptive players from around the section together for friendly tennis competition.
