Case Tennis Center receives $165,000 in USTA grants for new courts
In connection with Park and Recreation Month, which takes place in July in the United States, USTA Oklahoma is highlighting Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park in Tulsa.
Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park was recently selected to receive a $150,000 grant in USTA National Tennis Venue Services funding for the construction of its three new indoor tennis courts. USTA Missouri Valley contributed an additional $15,000 grant to the project.
The new facility is part of a $6.6 million tennis expansion project and is a significant addition to Case Tennis Center, which has long been a hub for tennis players of all ages and skill levels in Tulsa. Additions include the three new indoor courts and spectator seating.
In total, Case Tennis Center—a USTA Premier Facility that is part of the Tulsa County Parks system—now boasts six indoor tennis courts to go along with 21 lighted outdoor tennis courts. With more opportunities for training, competition and recreation, the upgraded facility is sure to continue as a cornerstone of the local community for years to come.
The major milestone for tennis enthusiasts in Tulsa was celebrated on April 22, as Case Tennis Center unveiled its new indoor facility. This grand opening marked the culmination of months of planning, design and construction, all of which began with a groundbreaking ceremony in April 2024.
