COVID-19 Response From USTA Oklahoma President

April 14, 2020

Dear USTA Oklahoma Family,

First and foremost, I hope that this letter finds you safe and healthy. Your health, the health of all our players, parents, staff and volunteers is our highest priority. COVID-19 has changed the world, and certainly the way we look at tennis in 2020.

When the time comes for us to safely resume play, USTA Oklahoma will be ready! We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure all our tournaments, Junior Team Tennis, adult leagues, tournaments and junior tournaments will resume with a plan.

League Players,

With yesterday’s announcement from the USTA extending the suspension through May 31,  we want you to know that our entire team is working closely with our section and national office to provide you with updates regarding our 2020 Adult League season.

As you know, this is a very challenging time with our leagues and how we move forward is a fluid situation. With this new start date, providing that state and local health departments allow, we do plan to run an Adult League season in Oklahoma.

At this time, we ask for your patience as we continue to follow health precautions, receive guidance from the section and national office, and work on a new plan for the 2020 season.

Thank you again for participating in USTA Leagues and for your patience. We will keep you posted as we gather more information. In the meantime, please stay healthy and safe.

I’m looking forward to that handshake at the net!

Sincerely,

Mary Jo Tasker, USTA Oklahoma President
