Meet the New Oklahoma City Adult League Coordinator
We are happy to announce that Katie Allen will be our new Oklahoma City Adult League Coordinator for USTA Oklahoma. Check out this Q & A with Katie to get to know her!
Where are you from?
I grew up here in Oklahoma City attending Bishop McGuinness High school and then on to University of Oklahoma for undergraduate and graduate school. I am currently a PA with a large neurosurgery practice here in OKC.
Do you play tennis?
I have always loved watching tennis, but I started playing in October 2018 and I haven’t looked back! I have fallen in love with the adult tennis leagues in Oklahoma because it feeds my desire for competition but also provides an amazing social experience.
What is your favorite sport, besides tennis?
I love all sports and grew up playing volleyball, basketball and running track.
What are your hobbies?
When I’m not at work or on the court (which is most of the time!) you can find me traveling, attending OU football games, reading, spending time with friends and family and most likely with my golden doodle, Charlie.
What are you most excited about being the new OKC League Coordinator?
I am so excited to take on the responsibility of OKC league coordinator because it lets me get more hands on with the leagues here in the city and provides me the opportunity to get to know the players on a much wider level. I am hopeful to continue to grow and expand tennis here in OKC! I am an organizer by instinct and will really enjoy the challenge of coordinating league play. I hope to meet you all out there!
