The USTA is introducing NTRP National Championships in 2018, providing a new opportunity for tournament players to advance to national event. Registration for the upcoming USTA Missouri Valley NTRP Outdoor Championships (Details below) closes Oct. 3, so sign up now!

 

The national NTRP tournament divisions are 18s & Over 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 men & women singles and doubles and 50 & Over 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 men & women, singles and doubles.

 

One player in each division, from each section will be invited to attend. This is a tournament, not a USTA League Section Championship.

 

So how do you qualify, if you are a tournament player in the USTA Missouri Valley?

  • The player that holds the #1 position on the 2017 final ranking lists for the USTA Missouri Valley, for each division will be invited to attend as the section representative.
  • To be listed on the USTA Missouri Valley ranking lists a player must play at least one section level adult tournament in each of the divisions they would like to be ranked.
  • On October 6-8, the USTA Missouri Valley NTRP Outdoor Championship will be held. ADVERTISEMENT  (TennisLink ID # 400030517) Players may compete in this championship for section ranking points.  Registration for this event closes on October 3, 2017.
  • USTA Missouri Valley hosted an NTRP Indoor Championship in May 2017 which counts toward rankings as well.
  • Players may count a section-level and any other two tournaments they have played in the same division, in which they received points, to be included in the final rankings for 2017.  The more you play, the better your chances at earning more points.  The farther you make it through a tournament, the more points you earn!
  • Go to tennislink.usta.com/tournaments to check to see if you are currently ranked.  Use the "Players Ranking Search."  If you do not play tournaments, you will not be ranked.

  • 18 & Over: Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex, Surprise, AZ | April 6-8, 2018
  • 50 & Over: Academia Sanchez-Casall Florida, Naples, FL | April 20-22, 2018
