Play in the 2019 Show-Me State Games
The deadline to join the Show-Me State Games this July in Columbia, Missouri is coming up quickly.
The Show-Me State Games is a non-profit program founded by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health in 1984 and is hosted by the University of Missouri. The Show-Me State Games’ main mission, as stated on their site, is to provide Missouri residents the opportunity to participate in activities of health, fitness, family, and fun.
USTA Missouri Valley is the presenting sponsor of the tennis chapter of the Games.
The adult divisions begin on Friday, July 19 and continue through Sunday, July 21. The youth divisions will go on the next weekend, July 26-28. The games will take place at the Bethel/Gentry Courts in Columbia—4500 Bethel St., Columbia MO.

The deadline to apply for the July 19-21 events is July 10, and the application deadline for the July 26-28 events is July 17. Entries received after these dates will be referred to the commissioner for entry on a space available basis. Applications can be done online through this link or by mail, as listed on the Show-Me State Games website. The entry fee for the first event is $25, with each additional event priced at $15.
Eligibility to play in the Show-Me State Games requires residing in Missouri, attending college in Missouri, being stationed in a Missouri military base, or having parents who earn a living in Missouri. There are no age or ability limitations, but the Games should consist of ranked sectional and district players and current or past varsity and high school players. Junior Players may participate in Adult divisions but must play in the Open division. View more details about rules and regulations here.
