St. Louis University Claims 2023 Tennis On Campus Fall Invite Title

October 03, 2023

Autumn is here which means it is time for college football and for the Tennis On Campus Fall Invite.  Collegiate club-tennis teams from across USTA Missouri Valley took a break from the classroom and took to the courts this past weekend in Topeka with almost 140 players vying for USTA Missouri Valley TOC top honors.

For the third year in a row, the event was held at the wonderful Kossover Tennis Center in the capital city of Topeka, KS. After two long days of tennis, teamwork and some schoolwork, the 2023 USTA Missouri Valley Tennis On Campus Fall Invite is officially 'in the books'.

The tournament consisted of 16 teams from USTA Missouri Valley with teams displaying some amazing competition, camaraderie, and team-spirit. After round robin pool-play was finished on Saturday, teams advanced to bracket play on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

The championship bracket (Wizard) matched St. Louis University against Iowa State University for the overall title, with Billikens knocking off the Cyclones to remain undefeated for the weekend, and take home the top prize. Rounding out the Wizard championship bracket were the University of Kansas (A-team) who earned 3rd place honors by defeating in-state rival, Kansas State University.
