Olympic-style state games bring competitive tennis offerings for adults, juniors

Olympic-style state games are coming up within the USTA Missouri Valley, offering individuals of all ages and abilities an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports.

 

That includes tennis tournaments for both adult and junior competitors, with singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions available. Learn more and register to play tennis in a state games by checking out the below information.

Iowa

 

Established in 1987, the Iowa Games is set for its 40th anniversary this year. The tennis component of the Summer Iowa Games is slated for July 11-12 at the two host sites of McHose Park and Boone Middle School in Boone, Iowa.

Singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions are available for entry for both adult players and youth competitors. Registration cost for an event is $30 between May 2-June 1 and $35 between June 2-July 1. Each additional event is another $5. Walk-up registrations are not allowed.

Missouri

 

The 2026 Show-Me State Games feature tennis divisions for both adults and juniors at Cosmo-Bethel Park/Gentry Middle School in Columbia, Mo.

 

For adult competitors, singles play is July 17, doubles play is July 18 and mixed doubles play is July 19. For juniors, singles is on July 24 and doubles is July 25. The date of July 26 is available for the continuation of junior doubles, if needed. Wheelchair tennis divisions are also available.

 

Entry cost is $30 for the first event and $15 for each additional event. The last possible day to register for adult tennis is July 10, while the final possible day to register for junior tennis divisions is July 17.

Nebraska

 

Registration is open for the 2026 Cornhusker State Games, including adult and junior tennis divisions taking place at Woods Tennis Center in Lincoln.

 

Adult singles and doubles is set for July 17-19 with registration closing July 13. Cost is $50 for singles and $34 per participant for doubles. Adult mixed doubles is July 15-17 with a registration deadline of July 12. Cost is $34 per participant.

 

Junior singles and doubles take place July 14-16 with a registration deadline of July 10.  Cost is $50 for singles and $34 per player for doubles.

 

A Junior Circuit for orange ball and green ball players is July 17. The deadline to register is July 13. Singles and doubles divisions are available, as are coed singles and doubles divisions. Singles costs $50 and doubles is $34 per player.

Note: The 2026 Sunflower State Games in Kansas does not offer tennis. The state of Oklahoma currently does not offer an Olympic-style state games competition.
