Area Facility Reopening Information

While the USTA anticipates resuming play June 1, many clubs and facilities in the area remain closed. There are select clubs and facilities in the area, however, that have opened their doors with guidelines and restrictions. This information will help you navigate as you prepare to play tennis once again. Please note: the situation remains fluid and information is subject to change. 

 

Missouri:

 

Chesterfield Athletic Club

Tentatively scheduled to reopen June 15. Precautions include:

  • Staff temperature checks & wearing masks

  • Members and visitors will have to sign a short medical questionnaire

  • No congregating in viewing area or lobby

  • Balls will be numbered and each player will handle their own tennis balls

  • No switching ends

  • Water will not be available

  • Hand sanitizer will be available for use

  • Recommending use of new grips each time you play

  • No use of score posts

  • Once match is over, players must immediately leave the courts using social distancing

  • Showers in the locker rooms will be temporarily unavailable

 

Creve Coeur Racquet Club:

Set to reopen June 1 with Phase 1 Tennis protocol. Highlights include:

  • Class sizes are limited to four students on the court at a time & no guests until Phase III. For full 

  • All indoor court use is by reservation.

  • No towels will be provided

 

Dwight Davis Tennis Center:

Open as of May 23 with COVID-19 Precautions. Highlights include:

  • All play by reservation only

  • No water/ice machine will be available.

  • The Pro Shop will not be open to the public

 

Forest Lake Tennis and Swim Club:

Set to reopen June 1

  • Must sign waiver

  • 4-7-year-old programs temporarily suspended

 

Frontenac Racquet Club:

Set to reopen June 1. Precautions include:

  • Spacing out courts for drop-in classes to maintain social distancing

  • Option to not handle tennis balls by pushing them to tarp with racquet for pick up by pros

  • Option not to serve during point play

  • Recommendation to sanitize racquet after play

 

Missouri Athletic Club:

Remains closed. Open date TBD

 

Shaw Park:

Remains closed. Open date TBD

 

Sunset Tennis Center:

Remains closed. Open date TBD

Junior clinics will begin June 15 at Westminster High School.

 

Tower Grove Park Tennis Courts:

Remains Closed. Open Date TBD

 

Vetta Racquet Sports:

 Open for private lessons and court rentals only; junior tennis begins June 1. You can find complete information on their Protocols page.

  • Several sanitizer stations at club

  • Must bring owns towels & water

  • No cash transactions

 

Woodsmill Tennis Club:

Set to reopen June 1. Precautions include:

  • Spacing out courts for drop-in classes to maintain social distancing

  • Option not to serve during point play

  • Recommendation to sanitize racquet after play

 

Illinois:

 

St. Clair Tennis Center:

Open for business. Will have junior summer programming. Visit site for guidelines and programming. 

 

O’Fallon Parks And Rec: 

Tennis courts reopened as of May 4. 

 

Kings Point, Belleville:

Remains closed until further notice. Hopes to reopen once Illinois hits Phase four of five phase reopening plan.
