USTA St. Louis Upcoming Smashers Events

Shrarre Smith | August 23, 2019

Do you want to keep your kids involved in tennis after the warm outdoor seasons have come to an end? Smashers youth tennis tournaments are a great way for kids to stay involved in tennis throughout the fall and winter. These tournaments are designed for kids 10 and under to participate in events that use the appropriate sized tennis balls and courts that fit their skill level.

The Smashers program uses red, orange and green tennis balls that bounce lower and doesn’t move as fast in the air, making it easier for kids to hit the tennis ball. USTA has found that with equipment and courts sized right, the development of youth fundamental tennis skills are greatly improved. The kids also enjoy the game more and want to keep playing.

So hurry and sign your kids up for the upcoming fall and winter Smashers tournaments being held in the St. Louis area. Youth participating in the program will earn stars or trophies as they advance their skill levels.
