Happy Holidays USTA St. Louis!
Happy Holidays to All!
I want to take this moment to wish everyone in USTA St. Louis a happy holiday season. This is also an opportunity to look back at 2023 and reflect on the great year we have had. Our sport continues to grow at the junior and adult levels. We found ourselves many times facing a demand for courts that outpaced supply for our leagues, tournaments and Junior Team Tennis programming. We are getting creative to work around these challenges going forward.
Community tennis programming also thrived in 2023. USTA St. Louis granted more than $25,000 to organizations providing tennis for those who might otherwise not have access to our sport. Our community tennis associations, parks and schools are all doing a tremendous job at introducing tennis to new players, and especially the next generation, and helping them develop a love for the game that will last a lifetime.
We want to thank our members, providers and volunteers across our organization from leagues captains to tournament directors to Junior Team Tennis organizers to committee members and so many others, and certainly all of our adult and junior players as well. And where would we be without our officials, be sure to thank them when you see them on the courts (or even consider joining the ranks!). We would not have the vibrant and thriving tennis community we have without each and every one of you.
Please take time over the holidays to enjoy time with family and friends. We hope you are able to look back on 2023 with happy memories both on and off the court. Stay safe, stay warm, and keep your rackets up!
