Josh Sellmeyer | January 06, 2023

USTA St. Louis has a new board of directors with several familiar names — as well as some new ones — comprising the board for the 2023-2024 term. The group of volunteers began their service in January 2023.

USTA St. Louis Board of Directors

President: John Kelly

Treasurer: Madison Meersman

Secretary: Louann Boyd

Vice President of Juniors: Ken Hayden

Vice President of Community: Hiroo Motwani

Vice President of Adults: Paul Petruska

Nominating Committee

Jason Mathes: Former USTA St. Louis president and former USTA Missouri Valley president

Beth Causey: Immediate past president of USTA St. Louis

John Spanos: Owner of Vetta Sports clubs

Jim Seitz: Dwight Davis Tennis Center board chair

“I am very excited to work with the St. Louis board in 2023-2024,” President John Kelly said. “We have a perfect mix of experienced board members — Hiroo, Ken and myself — as well as new board members Paul, Madison and Louann. I truly believe this group is totally aligned to grow tennis and enhance the tennis experience for everyone in 2023.

“I would also like to thank our retiring board members: Noel Quevreaux, Scott Stinson and Mary Owens-Hudson. Each unselfishly devoted a meaningful amount of time and effort to the district. They are model volunteers, and they deserve significant appreciation for all they accomplished.”
