St. Louis Shines In USTA League Section Championships
The first weekend of the 2019 USTA Missouri Valley League Section Championships tournament was hosted by USTA St. Louis, taking place over the weekend of August 8-11. The matches were held at Dwight Davis Tennis Center, Westminster Christian Academy and Tower Grove Park.
USTA St. Louis gave participants a glimpse of the St. Louis experience as the tournament offered the view of Forest Park, Ted Drewes frozen custard, and Imo’s Pizza covered in St. Louis’s famed provel cheese.
Since St. Louis kicked off the USTA League Section Championships season at Dwight Davis Tennis Center, several more Championship tournaments have ensued across the Missouri Valley resulting in several more championship matches won.
Many USTA St. Louis teams and players fought hard to become finalist or champion at USTA League Section Championships, with the champions receiving the opportunity to represent USTA Missouri Valley in the USTA League National Championships this October.
We congratulate those who finished well in their hometown of St. Louis, and those who have since become a champion or runner-up at other League Section Championships across USTA Missouri Valley.
