USTA St. Louis Summer Junior Team Tennis

USTA St. Louis is now registering for its summer season of Junior Team Tennis. The season begins June 2 and culminates with the Junior Team Tennis Section Championships in Tulsa in July. 

10U Matches Saturdays at 9am Begins June 2

18U Matches Mondays at 6pm Begins June 4

18U Beginners (Green Ball) Tuesdays at 6pm Begins June 5

12U and 14U Matches Wednesday at 6pm Begins June 6

Formats: 

10U LEAGUE

• Four rounds of play on two courts; four singles, four doubles.

• Four game short sets, No-Ad scoring, in both singles and doubles.

ALL 10U Players will participate in the 10U District Championship/Play Day

LOCAL LEAGUE - 12U Int. Green, 12U Adv. Yellow, 14U Silver, 18U Silver

• Three rounds of play - boys/girls doubles, boys/girls singles, TWO mixed.

• Six game sets, no-ad scoring, team winning the most games wins match.

The top teams participate in District Championships.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE - 12U Adv. Green, 14U Gold, 14U Adv., 18U Gold,

18U Adv. - Advances to the Section Championship

• Three rounds of play - boys/girls doubles, boys/girls singles, ONE mixed.

• Six game sets, no-ad scoring, team winning the most games wins match.

• Party Court: A second mixed doubles court will be played. The team

winning that court earns a chance to win a pizza party for their team.

The top teams participate in District Championships.

District Championships

10U Championship/Play Day Saturday, July 14

12U, 14U, 18U District Championship Mon-Wed, July 16-18

Section Championships:

18U Gold and Advanced: July 23/24

12U Advanced Green, 14U Gold and Advanced: July 24/25

TEAM REQUIREMENTS

• Teams must have a minimum of six registered players.
• Teams must have at least three boys and three girls, except 10U and 12U Green where the teams are gender neutral.
• Players 10 or younger MUST play in the 10U league unless they have completed the Youth Pathway through JTT and tournament participation.
• Each team must have a coach/manager (captain) that has completed the Safe Play background screening process
• Players rated 3.5 or above must play in an advanced flight.
• Players may participate on more than one team, as long as the teams are in different flights.
• If a player is on more than one team that advances to the District Championship, s/he must choose which team they will represent.
• 12U Advanced Green Section Championship teams have a maximum of 8 players allowed, a minimum of 6 must be present (gender neutral).
• 14U and 18U Section and National Championship teams have a maximum of 10 (5B/5G) players allowed, a minimum of 6 (3B/3G) must be present.

MATCH SITES

• Teams will supply two courts for all Home matches.
• Each team brings one new can of balls to every match.
• Home teams are responsible for any court costs, except when teams agree to
• play indoors due to inclement weather and share the court fees.
