USTA St. Louis Crowns District League Champions
Several USTA St. Louis squads have punched their ticket to the USTA Missouri Valley League Section Championships by virtue of winning their respective district titles.
District action at the 18+ level took place May 19-21 for the 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 men as well as the 2.5 and 4.5 women. The 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 women competed in their district events on June 2-4. At the 55+ level, the 7.0 and 8.0 women battled it out on June 8-10. District action for 40+ teams occurs between July 25-30 for the 3.5 and 4.0 women.
USTA St. Louis is grateful for the ongoing support of PJ’s Tavern in Kirkwood, which sponsored district gifts for the second straight year. Players had the opportunity to choose between a soft fleece individual blanket or a $225 party package to PJ’s Tavern to celebrate their season.
The district would also like to thank the tremendous facilities that hosted all the district tennis action: Chesterfield Athletic Club, Creve Coeur Racquet Club, Forest Lake Tennis Club and Woodsmill Tennis Club.
