USTA Missouri Valley Washington U. Takes Winter Invite
Washington University-St. Louis captured its fourth consecutive USTA Tennis on Campus WInter Invite hosted by USTA St. Louis at Creve Coeur Racquet Club on January 20. It was the Bears' fifth overall Winter Invite championship.
Wash U., took down Missouri State and Nebraska in preliminary rounds before defeating cross-town rival St. Louis University in overtime in the finals.
The Cornhuskers ended up taking third place after defeating Arkansas in its final match. Iowa State took fifth place.
The tournament is the final major tune-up for Tennis On Campus teams before the USTA Missouri Valley Tennis on Campus Section Championships held March 3-4 in Des Moines.
