Dallas Tennis named 2025 USTA Member Organization of the Year
Thirteen advocates for the sport of tennis at the grassroots and local levels were honored with national awards at the 2025 USTA Annual Meeting and Conference in Carlsbad, Calif.

Dallas Tennis in Dallas was awarded the USTA Member Organization of the Year Award for representing a standard that all organization members can strive to achieve. The organization was was honored at the 2025 USTA Annual Meeting & Conference in Carlsbad, Calif.
First given out in 1981 to annually recognize the support of the USTA mission by its organization members, the USTA presents this award to an organization that best exemplifies service to the community, service to its members through junior and adult programs, and service to the game of tennis.
Founded in the 1930s, Dallas Tennis has been instrumental in increasing the growth of tennis activities that engage and energize the local community. Their efforts have successfully connected over 13,000 players, ranging from young novices to veteran players.
Their innovative and collaborative approach has significantly enhanced the regional tennis landscape, making the sport accessible and enjoyable for all.
“The Dallas Tennis Association has done extraordinary work to grow the game and serve their community,” said Brian Vahaly, USTA President and Chairman of the Board.
“Their commitment to excellence and inclusivity truly reflects what it means to be named Member Organization of the Year. Their impact on tennis in Dallas will be felt for years to come.”
Under the leadership of their staff and volunteers, Dallas Tennis has also demonstrated a dedication to promoting tennis as a means of healthy living and community building. The Dallas Tennis and Education Academy exemplifies this commitment. Through this National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) Chapter, Dallas Tennis can provide invaluable tennis training and life skills education to over 1,000 underserved and at-risk children annually, fostering not only athletic talent but also personal and academic growth.
Dallas Tennis has represented what a USTA member organization can achieve. Their dedication to spreading tennis across diverse communities and inspiring new generations of players shows the commitment of the organization.
