Four New Champs crowned in 18 & Over 2.5 Women

Four new co-champions in the USTA League National 18 & Over 2.5 women’s division were crowned at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala., during the weekend of Oct. 20 -22.

 

After inclement weather canceled championship play, the USTA Florida, Missouri Valley, Pacific Northwest and Southern sections were all declared co-champions. 

 

The USTA Pacific North West section from Bellevue, Wash., was captained by Arpana Goel and featured Anna Graves, Anna Reche, Anne Wilson, Claudia Huzar, Ginevra Smith, Heather Lin, and Jillian Lee. The squad plays at the Robinswood Tennis Center in Bellevue. 

 

The USTA Southern team hails from Memphis, Tenn., and plays out of the Leftwich Tennis Center. It was captained by Lisa Edwards and featured Angela Brackett, Christy Butcher, Cindy Cummings, Karen Vasil, Karin Rubnitz, Katrina Moore, Rhonda Katzman and Tracy Pope.

 

 

The USTA Florida team was captained by Debra Taylor and featured Cheryl Flanders, Dawn Crawford, Evelyn Edenfield, Jennifer Espinosa, Katherine Sherman, and Tammy Morreale. Florida plays at the Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville. 

 

The USTA Missouri Valley squad from Chesterville, Miss., plays out of the Chestervillw Racquet Club. It was captained by Britney Coffey and featured Alison Drain, Emily Perez, Maria Nerissalene Perez, Maya Horsford, Megan Lynch, Sandy Lyons and Tracy Abernathy.
