Teams announced for 2024 ITF Masters 45+ World Team Championships
Eight Americans will represent the United States at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Masters 45+ World Team Championships, which will be held Nov. 17-22 in Tokyo, Japan. The event will take place on the outdoor hard courts at the Ariake Tennis Centre—the venue for tennis at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The event will see a total of 47 teams from nations across the globe compete to become world champions. The Americans will look to improve on last year’s results in the Margaret Court Cup (W45) and Dubler Cup (M45) divisions after finishing fifth and seventh, respectively. This event will also mark the first time that an ITF Masters World Championships will be held in Asia.
The tournament is the equivalent of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup competitions, with top American tennis players representing their country in the 45-and-over age groups.
Following the ITF Masters World Team Championships, the individual championships will be held from Nov. 23-30 at the same site.
Below is a list of players representing the United States in each division:
Margaret Court Cup – Women’s 45 & Over
Francesca La O, San Francisco
