USTA Foundation launches We Serve Together auction for COVID-19 relief

Victoria Chiesa | May 01, 2020

Tennis legends past and present are lending their support to the USTA Foundation in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The USTA Foundation has launched "We Serve Together," a two-week long auction of one-of-a-kind items and experiences, in the month of May with an eye towards providing financial support for National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network chapters across the country that have been impacted by the pandemic and its related shutdowns of tennis activities across the United States.

The proceeds from the auction will provide critical resources for underserved youth across the country who participate in NJTL programming. These resources will allow these chapters to continue to provide education, physical activity, and nutritious meals for their student-athletes.

Supporters will be able to contribute to the cause in two ways, by either bidding or donating.

Some of the auction items available range from a private hitting session with 18-time Grand Slam champion and USTA Foundation chairperson Chris Evert, to signed memorabilia from Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and Venus Williams.

In addition to bidding on auction items, interested supporters can also make a direct donation to help over 250 grassroots chapters that have been affected by the pandemic. Those who contribute donations of $250 or more will receive a signed photo from Evert.

The auction will run from May 1 to May 15, 2020. To browse, bid on and buy items, click here.
