Grand Slam Tennis Tours extends partnership with USTA New England

Two of New England’s tennis leaders will continue their work into 2020.

December 17, 2018 — STOWE, VT. Grand Slam Tennis Tours is pleased to announce it has extended its partnership agreement with USTA New England. The two-year extension reflects a commitment from both groups to continue to grow the game of tennis in New England. This will be achieved both through local events and by encouraging global tennis travel.

“We have great synergy with Grand Slam Tennis Tours. Plus, we’ve been able to provide our members with exciting tennis travel experiences around the world,” said Alex Wesley, USTA New England Director of Marketing. “The work we’ve done together in New England and around the Stowe Mountain Lodge Classic have made this a special partnership for us and the New England tennis community.”

During the previous partnership term, the two groups combined to advance the profile of tennis in New England with efforts focused specifically around the Stowe Mountain Lodge Classic. USTA New England brought hundreds of youth tennis fans to the event and installed a Net Generation court for public use in the event village. Additionally, USTA New England installed a pop-up tennis court in Burlington for a community event on Church Street. The event featured American ATP athletes Denis Kudla and Noah Rubin.

“Our work with USTA NE has been an incredible avenue for us to support the growth of tennis in New England. We can also help USTA NE members travel to more tennis events around the world,” explained Director of Marketing at Grand Slam Tennis Tours, Kyle Ross. “It’s a strong natural fit, and we’re excited to continue our work together through 2020.”

The new term of the partnership will continue to advance the goals of bringing USTA NE members to major tennis events around the world. Most notably, it includes the creation of annual USTA New England group trips. These trips offer members the opportunity to build and grow the USTA NE community through travel to major events like Wimbledon, Indian Wells, the US Open, and more.
