North Dakota State Tournament Results
The North Dakota Girls High School State Tennis Tournament was held May 30 - June 1 in Grand Forks, ND, with champions being crowned in team, singles and doubles brackets.
West Fargo Sheyenne captured the team title with a 5-0 victory over Fargo Davies while Minot earned a podium finish, defeating Fargo North 4-1 in the third-place match.
In the individual competitions, Shaelyn Johnson of Grand Forks Red River won her third state singles title with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Monti Knewtson of West Fargo Sheyenne. Knewtson's teammates, Preeti Chemiti and Mimi Gu captured the doubles title with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 win over Elizabeth Felderman and Kenna Vogel of Mandan, 6-4, 6-3.
