USTA Northern Hosts Panel on Race in Tennis
If there's one thing recent events have thrown into sharp relief, it's that we need to listen more and be willing to travel entirely new roads to tackle our problems. USTA Northern hosted a special panel discussion on Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m. to talk about race with our tennis friends and colleagues. Is tennis a sport that connects us all and where do we go from here?
Facilitator: Marc Stingley, Director of Junior Play, USTA Northern
- Mya Smith-Dennis, Training and Outreach Coordinator and Diversity and Inclusion Staff Liaison, USTA Northern
- Patricia Brown, Tennis Player and Parent, former USTA Northern Board Member
- Tyrone Terrell, MLK Tennis Buffs Leadership
- Gloria Ngwendson, Tennis Parent
Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there.
After the event, please check out our list of resources to learn more about the challenges behind and ahead. It will be continuously updated to serve as a useful resource into the future.
