USTA Northern Staff Changes

December 17, 2019

USTA Northern Executive Director Becky Cantellano is pleased to announce the hiring of Marc Stingley as the Director of Junior Play and the promotion of Zeny McCoy to Director of Partner Engagement.

Both roles are new positions within the section.

Stingley will focus on developing and overseeing the Junior Play department in pursuit of strategic goals and collaborate on the rollout of the new National Junior Program Pathway in 2021. He is a native of the section, having spent many years working at the Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center in various roles, including as their Assistant Manager, Junior Program Director and Tennis Director. Stingley has additional experience as a college coach, high school coach, player development coach and teaching professional in both a club and park setting. Most recently, he has been working to elevate the quality of tennis teaching across the United States as the Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator for the Professional Tennis Registry.

McCoy leads the Development and Marketing Department, with an emphasis on cultivating partnerships with the community and the USTA Northern provider network, as well as engaging with stakeholders through section communications strategies and special events. Before her promotion, McCoy served as the Manager of Junior Team Tennis, guiding the program to a 143 percent increase in participation over the previous year. Her past experience in management and volunteer leadership will support the section’s engagement needs.

“We’re all excited to welcome Marc to the USTA Northern family and to have Zeny continue her journey with us in a new role,” Cantellano said. “Both of them are fantastic additions to the team and will play critical roles in furthering our mission and our impact in the years ahead."
