Pride Month - The Apricot with ATTA

Brooke Greene Hammond | June 12, 2023

The Atlanta Team Tennis Association (ATTA) hosted its inaugural mini-tournament, The Apricot, to raise funds for Lost-n-Found Youth on June 10 and it was a success! Thirty-two players had a fun time on court while giving to a special cause during Pride Month.

ATTA is an LGBT+ and allies nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and foster community through their shared love of tennis. They accomplish this mission primarily through offering tennis playing services and raising funds for their sponsored charity. This year their sponsored charity, Lost-n-Found Youth, provides residential services, clothing, food and job placement services to LGBT+ youth who have been turned out by their families.

"The Apricot is a great opportunity for our members to have an organized way to give as a group," said Edward Sullivan, ATTA President (pictured below with the rainbow Pride bag provided by USTA Georgia). The players enjoyed their Pride Month swag that included bags, towels and sunnies from USTA Atlanta and USTA Georgia, and we brought the USTA Pride hats!
