Tracy McEvoy hired as USTA Southern Director, Marketing & Communications

Tracy McEvoy has been named US Tennis Association (USTA) Southern Section’s Director of Marketing & Communications. 

McEvoy began heading a four-person marketing and communications staff this week.

McEvoy started her career at USTA Southern in 1996 as a junior tennis programs coordinator. She also served as the USTA Georgia Director of Marketing.

McEvoy volunteered for USTA New England for the past 15 years, most recently as secretary of the board of directors. She brings a cumulative 25 years of USTA involvement at the local, district, sectional and national levels, including serving as the executive director of Grassroots Tennis & Education, a four-star NJTL Chapter in Norwalk, Conn. She also served as the board liaison to the USTA New England Marketing Committee. 

Her professional career includes managing a large portfolio of partners and sponsors at Fairfield (Conn.) University, which helped catapult the institution to become a top nationally recognized university by US News and World Report. She also brings a promotional marketing background for Kellogg’s, which made her a well-rounded choice for the position. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she captained the women's tennis team for four years.  

“We are very excited to bring Tracy back to the USTA Southern family,” said USTA Southern Executive Director and COO Matt Olson. “She has expanded her knowledge of the USTA mission and operations at the local and section levels, increasing her ability to make a major impact in growing the game in our section.”

McEvoy recently returned to the Atlanta area, where she lives with her husband, daughter and family pets. Her son is a recent college graduate and lives in Houston.
