Sam Querrey, Mardy Fish & Bryan Bros come to ABQ
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXIC - The world’s greatest doubles team of Mike and Bob Bryan—along with former No. 1 ranked American singles player, Mardy Fish, and 2017 Wimbledon semi-finalist Sam Querrey will headline the Albuquerque Tennis Classic Thursday September 28 The Pit at Dreamstyle Arena on the campus of University of New Mexico.
The event will begin promptly at 7 pm and feature singles between Mardy Fish and Sam Querrey, followed by doubles featuring the Bryan brothers against Fish and Querrey. Immediately following the tennis, the Bryan Brothers’ band will entertain fans and sponsors at the Grand Slam Jam Post-Party concert featuring special guest Jim Bogios of the Counting Crows.
The event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Central New Mexico with a special silent and live auction.

Sam Querrey has had an outstanding 2017 season, recently reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon where he upset World No. 1 Andy Murray along the way. Querrey also won the Acapulco Open earlier this year, one of his best career events, defeating three of the top 15 players in the world, including Rafael Nadal in the finals. In 2016, Sam defeated World No. 1 (at the time) Novak Djokovic and reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.
The Bryan Brothers have won 113 ATP Tour titles including 16 Grand Slam titles at the US Open,
Wimbledon, the French Open, and the Australian Open. In 2012, the Bryans won the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in London. The Bryan Brothers have been ranked #1 in the World for a record 11 years.
Mardy Fish reached No. 7 on the ATP Tour rankings in 2011 and became the No. 1 ranked American in the world when he passed Andy Roddick in the ATP Tour rankings. In 2004, Fish captured the silver medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics. He has career wins over current top-five players Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray.
