Dallas and Houston won three titles each, dominating the Adult 18 & Over 4.0 & Up Sectional Championships. The six teams will represent Texas at the National Championships over the next several months.
Houston went undefeated in the Ladies 5.0+ division, losing just three sets all weekend. The team will go to the 18 & Over 5.0+ National Championships at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida on October 6-8.

“Lakes/Jannasch M5.0+ (F17 WC)” are captained by Jeff Jannasch and play out of Lakes Tennis Academy. The roster includes Carlos Aguilar, Alexander Behar, Henry Gonzales, Oscar Gonzalez, Jason Gould, Kent Grossling, Jesse Haas, Joseph Hattrup, Kayvon Karimi, Sascha Kiehne, Vu Le, Mario Lopez-Belio, Leif Meineke, Raul Morant, Zoltan Papp, Peter Saunders and Daniel Vejman.
Dallas took the Ladies 4.5 division on Sunday, August 13 at Canyon Creek Country Club, defeating Fort Worth 4-1 in the finals. The team will travel to the USTA National Campus on November 10-12 for the Ladies 4.5 National Championships.
“Greenhill/Pham W4.5S” play out of Greenhill Tennis Center. Houston punched their ticket to the National Championships with a 4-1 win over San Antonio on Sunday at Brookhaven Country Club. Houston defeated NETX on Saturday afternoon 3-2 to get their spot in Sunday’s final.
“HFTC – Hurricanes” are captained by Jason Freeman and Co-Captained by Timothy Green. The team plays out of Homer Ford Tennis Center and is comprised of: Red Benzon, Michael Clayborne, Omon Dibua, Evan Fontenot, Antoine Ford, John Greenwood, Alexander Huffman, Andrew Kwan, Raymond Martinez, Ransom Medina, Christopher Muniz, Jean Nguyen, Jonathan Phillips, Phong Regent, Kristian Rodriguez, Soong Tam, Tu Tran and Nicholas Van Bemmelen.
Wild Dallas is heading to the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona for the 4.0 National Championships after defeating Houston 4-1 on Sunday. Wild Dallas knocked off Dallas 3-2 on Saturday afternoon and will go to Surprise from October 13-15.
“Wagon Wheel/Kolanowski W4.0” are captained by Jodee Kolanowski and play out of Wagon Wheel Tennis Center. Wild Houston took down Houston 4-1 in the semifinals before defeating San Antonio 4-1 in the final to win the Men’s 4.0 Championship. Wild Houston will head to Surprise as well, representing USTA Texas in the battle for sectional superiority.
