2019 TEXAS JTT SPRING SECTIONAL RESULTS

Green Horns (Austin) won their second straight 10U Green Ball title after winning the JTT Fall Sectionals in New Braunfels, this time topping the division with a win percentage of 64%. The team is led by captain Emilien Rabin and feature team members: Case MacPhie, Ryan McCalister, Shaurya Mohan, Madeleine Monti, Seth Vogdes and Ansel Wong.

 

Davis Spring (Austin) were crowned the 12U 1.9 and Below Green Ball champs after defeating NJTL C (Houston) 32-25 on Sunday. Davis Spring are captained by Jim Ritter and include members: Pedro Camargo, Sahasra Gala, Aayush Parikh and Kavish Parikh.

 

High Point Aces (Dallas) won the 12U 1.9 and Below Yellow Ball title by defeating Serves U Right (NETT) 33-11 in the semis and ATA Avengers (Austin) 31-23 in the finals. The Aces are captained by Caroline Hood and features team members: Ryan Dugan, Erin Gan-Dy, Daniel Hogan and Alexandra Hood.

 

Hot Tamales FWCD (Fort Worth) came away 12U 2.4 and Below champions after a dominating performance on Sunday, beating SA Sweet Shots (San Angelo) 36-9 in the semis and ATA Devastators (Austin) 35-16 in the finals. Hot Tamales are captained by Brandon McGee and includes team members: Bo Blauser, Evan Garza, Anthony Gonzalez, Bianca Harris, Eva Kovachev, Cole McGee and Cooper Rhodes.

 

After winning the 14U 2.4 and Below title in New Braunfels, Angelo Aces (San Angelo) won its second straight sectionals, topping a six team division with a winning percentage over 69%. The Aces are captained by Jim Honea and features team members: Karyssa Castillo, Cullen Honea, Avery Jameson, Kenzie King, Payne Smith and Brent Wilcox Jr. 

 

Longview Hall of Framers (Tyler) won the 14U 2.9 and Below division, earning a bye in the first round as the top seed, before defeating Court Crushers (Abilene) 28-21 in the finals. The Hall of Framers were also named the event's Social Media Winners for their #txjtt posts on Instagram. The Hall of Framers are captained by Veena Reddy and feature team members: Alex Germanwala, Emily Jarrell, Will Lenhart, John Rectenwald and Namita Reddy.

 

ROCC/DTEA (Dallas) cruised to the 14U 3.4 and Below title, defeating Mustangs (Odessa) 36-5 in the semis and Llamas (Fort Worth) 30-15 in the finals. The team is captained by Ruben Rivera and includes team members: Jordan Mitchell, Alana Lopez Pagan, Diego Rivera, Kendall Schorn and Julian Williams.

 

Massey Tennis Academy (NETT) won the 18U 2.9 and Below division, beating ACE 10s Silver (San Antonio) 36-9 in the semis before defeating ATA Smashers (Austin) by just one point, 24-23, in the finals. The team is captained by Amy Massey and includes players: Hayden Flowers, Hailey Graham, Ashley Helms, Nathan Luangrath, William Massey, Weston Solley and Josie Thomas.

 

In the ninth and final division, Rocking Raquets (Abilene) won the 18U 3.4 and Below division in convincing fashion, winning nearly 68% of its games, with the next closest team at 52%. The team is captained by Beverly Guthrie and includes six members: Carly Bontke, Derstin Crousen, Dylan Haught, Trinity Miller, Landon Morris and Trevor Short.
