Presented at the 2025 Awards Luncheon at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center in Plano on Saturday, Feb. 8th.
Gabriel Gutierrez has served as the Tennis Head Coach for Adaptive Athletics at UH since 2018. Last year the Cougars, under Guttierez’s coaching, made a remarkable achievement - taking home the ITA National Wheelchair Tennis Championship.
His dedication to the sport is evident in his tireless work with players of all levels, investing countless hours to help them achieve their goals. As a bilingual coach, he breaks down barriers and creates a welcoming environment for both English and Spanish speakers.
Gabe's passion extends beyond coaching. He actively promotes wheelchair tennis through camps, trainings, and traveling to other regions rasing awareness. His commitment to inclusivity is inspiring, as he educates students without disabilities to become advocates for the sport. A true champion for wheelchair tennis, Gabe embodies the spirit of Randy Snow through his tireless efforts and unwavering passion.
