Sharon Chapple, chair of the USTA Texas Awards Committee said these awards highlight the outstanding contributions of those who continue the growth and development of tennis in Texas and work to make the game accessible to all.

“I hope that the recipients of all of our awards feel honored and proud,” she said. “Looking over the list of past winners, every name and organization will be familiar for their hard work and dedication to Texas tennis; to be selected to join those legends is quite an honor!”

Chapple noted the Selection Committees will carefully review each submission, then meet to discuss each nominee as a group to select the most outstanding ones as winners.

“We select our award winner based on how well they meet the criteria given,” she said. “With the great group of volunteers, programs and organizations that we have in the USTA Texas tennis community, the process isn't a quick or easy one, but it is rewarding to learn more about the great things going on in Texas tennis.”

Recipients will be announced in early 2024. A formal awards banquet celebrating their achievements will take place on Saturday, February 10 at the USTA Texas Annual Meeting in Irving, Texas.
