Presented at the 2025 Awards Luncheon at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center in Plano on Saturday, Feb. 8th:
When his father started taking him to matches as a 7-year-old, Tom Hunt probably didn’t know the impact he would make on Texas tennis. But learning from the likes of Bob Mapes and Ron Woods, we shouldn’t be surprised. Whether locally as a part of the Corpus Christi Tennis Association or at the section or national level, Tom’s signature smile and attitude have helped him give back to this sport of a lifetime.
As a part of USTA Texas, he’s worn many, many hats. Treasurer, Budget and Finance Chair, member of the Management committee and ultimately President for the 2019-2020 term. A strong believer in the health and social benefits of tennis, there’s no doubt that Tom will continue singing the praises of tennis for years to come.
