CONTEST: Design The 2026 Texas USTA League Sectionals Shirt

Every year, USTA Texas League sectionals participants receive a branded t-shirt to commemorate their play in the championship events. This year, we are handing the creative process over to our tennis community.

 

We are officially opening the design floor to the public. If you have an idea that captures the spirit of Texas tennis, we want to see it on the official 2026 Texas USTA League Sectionals shirt.

 

Below is everything you need to know to submit your artwork.

 

Design Requirements

To be selected and to ensure your artwork can be printed successfully, all submissions must meet the following criteria:

  • File Type: Must be high-resolution (150-300 PPI minimum, JPG or PNG) or a vector design file (PDF, AI, EPS, SVG). Low-resolution designs will not be considered.

  • Software: Designs should be created in Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, or CorelDRAW.

  • Theme: The design must represent Texas, the spirit of USTA League tennis, and the tennis community.

  • Required Text: The design should include the text “2026 USTA League Texas Sectionals”. If omitted, USTA Texas will add it prior to printing.

  • Color Palette: The 2026 Color Wars color is Hard Court Green (CMYK 85 45 83 50, HEX #19462E, PMS 3435 C). Your design must be printable in one color (including Hard Court Green on a light background, or black/white as needed).

  • Restrictions: DO NOT include any version of the USTA or USTA Texas logo. USTA Texas will add the official logo to a separate area of the shirt.

The Prize Package

The winning designer will receive the following:

  • One (1) case of Penn Tennis Balls

  • A $100 coupon code for the USTA Texas Merchandise online store

  • Their design featured on the official 2026 sectionals shirts worn across the state!

Submission Deadline: March 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Winner Announcement: April 6, 2026

Official Contest Rules & Disclaimer

This contest is open to Texas residents. Only three (3) design submissions per person are allowed. If you are under the age of 18, your design must be submitted by a parent or guardian on your behalf. All designs must be original creations of the contestant, and incorporate all of the required design components outlined above (i.e. colors, trademarks, logos). Submissions must not have been previously published and must not contain profanity, trademarks, other organization's logos, specific USTA League team information, or any copyrighted works of any other person or business. Design(s) must be submitted on the T-Shirt Contest form via the submission form by 11:59pm (ET) on March 31, 2026. Designs should be created in either Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, or CorelDRAW and provide a high-resolution design file. The winning designer agrees to sign a waiver to allow USTA Texas the use of their design, free of charge, for any and all printing and promotional purposes in perpetuity. Contest winner(s) must agree to submit a high-resolution layered vector art file within 7 days of notification and agree to work with the USTA Texas staff if slight changes/modifications are necessary for production. If not, an alternate winner may be chosen due to meet production deadlines. USTA Texas reserves the right to update and modify the design as needed without prior approval of the creator.
