Kapil Rajurkar: Championing Youth Tennis and Healthcare Innovation
Kapil Rajurkar, an avid tennis player and junior team tennis coach, has recently garnered recognition for his contributions to youth tennis. He led his team to victory at the State Sectionals in the 14U category and received the CATA Best Junior Team Tennis Coach award for 2023. His commitment to the sport extends beyond coaching; he serves on the board of the Lake Travis Tennis Association, where he helps promote tennis in the community.
Rajurkar’s passion for tennis is mirrored in his family life. He and his wife, Monica, have two sons who are actively involved in tennis, participating in tournaments, junior team tennis, and their school tennis teams. This family involvement underscores Rajurkar's belief in the importance of sports in youth development.
In his day-to-day he is the Director of Product Management at AMN Healthcare. Rajurkar plays a crucial role in driving the development and execution of innovative healthcare staffing solutions. His responsibilities include overseeing product strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the company’s offerings meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers.
Rajurkar, is set to open the Legend Tennis Academy in Spring 2025. Located in Spicewood, the academy will utilize USTA Tennis Venue Services and aims to foster a love for the sport among young athletes in the Bee Cave and Lakeway areas.
The Legend Tennis Academy is poised to provide a comprehensive training environment for young players, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. As Rajurkar embarks on this new venture, he aims to create a legacy of excellence in tennis that inspires the next generation of athletes.
