Texas ties are once again strong during qualifying rounds at the 2026 US Open. DFW native Savannah Broadus fell in her opening qualifying match to Tyra Grant, while San Antonio’s Fiona Crawley secured an impressive qualifying win over No. 5 seed Simona Waltert to advance. In mixed doubles qualifying, Former Longhorn standout Peyton Stearns teamed up with Christian Harrison to upset the No. 4 seed before falling in the second round, while former Longhorn Lloyd Glasspool and partner Erin Routliffe edged out the No. 3 seeds in a thrilling three-set tiebreaker.
