USTA Connecticut is one of seven state associations in the USTA New England section. The state association is a volunteer-run organization that provides tennis opportunities for kids and adults and encourages people to play tennis

 

Our organization is dedicated to the mission statement: "To inspire, promote and develop the growth of tennis in Connecticut."

The Nominating Committee of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Connecticut invites visionary, mission-driven leaders to submit an application for the Board of Directors. This is a competitive process, as the Committee anticipates more applications than available positions.

  • Application Deadline: August 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST.

  • Term of Service: Three years, beginning January 2027.

  • Position Type: Volunteer (non-compensated).

The Board of Directors are responsible for the governance of USTA Connecticut as it carries out its mission. Directors must act in good faith, in the best interest of the organization, on an informed basis and with due care. The Board of Directors are expected to uphold USTA Connecticut’s Bylaws and Constitution and make informed, unbiased decisions that support the organization and its mission.
