USTA ST. Louis Hall of Fame

Since its founding in 1990, over 60 St. Louisans have been inducted into the St. Louis Tennis Hall of Fame for their contributions on and off the court.

 

Year after year, the Hall continues to recognize this area’s rich tennis history.

 

From Dwight Davis, founder of the Davis Cup, to former ATP executive director Butch Bucholz and Wimbledon champions Chuck McKinley and Ken Flach, St. Louis has left an indelible imprint on the game.

 

Arthur Ashe once said that when he came here for his last year of high school in the early 1960s, St. Louis had more quality players than any other city outside greater Los Angeles. Now, our Hall of Fame shows the truth of his observations: just about every champion our town produced in those days – including Buchholz, McKinley, Justina Bricka, Carol Hanks Aucamp and Mary Ann Eisel Beattie – is in the Hall.
