USTA Eastern Metro Region organizes all USTA tennis programs throughout the five boroughs: Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Our mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis throughout the area.
News
- Metro-area junior Claire An captured the girls' 16s title at the 2023 Easter Bowl. Read our interview.
- Brooklyn teenager Leena Friedman lifted the championship trophy at the 2023 USTA Winter National Championships. Read our interview.
- This past summer, the Metro Council hosted another free tennis clinic for essential workers. Read recap.
- Robert "Bob" Davis and Wilbert "Billy" Davis were among those inducted into the Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame in 2022. The brothers, who were both born in Harlem, committed their lives to growing the sport locally. Read Billy's story | Read Bob's story
- Longtime NYC resident Virginia Wade was also inducted into the Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame in 2022.
- Brooklyn resident Sara Contreras was named a recipient of the USTA Foundation's Donald Lawson Tisdel Scholarship.
