USTA Eastern's Southern Region 



USTA Eastern Southern Region organizes all USTA tennis programs throughout seven counties in New York State: Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester, plus Southern Connecticut (Greenwich). 

 

News

  • Multiple Southern Region-based players scored big wins at the 2025 NTRP National Championships.
  • Longtime volunteer and former staff member Sandy Hoffman was honored as the 2024 USTA Eastern Tennis Woman of the Year. Read our profile.
  • Former Army head coach Jim Poling was posthumously honored as the 2024 USTA Eastern Leslie J. Fitz Gibbon Tennis Man of the Year.
  • The Rockland Community Tennis Association was named the 2024 USTA Eastern Organization of the Year.
  • Two Southern Region-based players captured a title at the 2024 NTRP National Championships.
  • Janet Lefkowitz, a local adaptive tennis legend who serves as the tennis director for the Greenburgh Parks & Recreation Department, was honored as the Tennis Woman of the Year at USTA Eastern's Annual Awards Dinner on January 28, 2023. Read our profile.
