The USTA Middle States Philadelphia Area District (USTA MS PATD) encompasses the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs: Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

A volunteer-based, nonprofit organization, USTA MS PATD is dedicated to promoting tennis opportunities for players of all abilities and backgrounds.

The USTA Middle States Delaware District is committed to building an inclusive and diverse array of opportunities for all players to enjoy this great sport of a lifetime.

Love Cup: PATD Junior Tennis League

Compete in a high-energy, four-week team competition for all junior players ages 9 - 17. It's the perfect way to celebrate National Tennis Month this May. Sign up for a Saturday night or Sunday afternoon from the end of April through May.

What to Expect:

Level-based singles and doubles matches for those who play all four weeks
Green Ball and Yellow Ball Competition to start/build a World Tennis Number (WTN)
Fast-paced, 4-game sets
Team Championship
Affordable: Just $30 for the entire league

Scholarship Opportunity

The 2026 Becky Desmond Memorial PATD College Tennis Scholarship will be available soon for high school seniors to apply. The scholarship is named in honor of Becky Desmond, for her numerous contributions to the tennis community in the Philadelphia District, including being the founder and Chair of the PATD Scholarship Committee.

PATD Grants

Currently, PATD has grant opportunities available to help organizations, teams and players get on the court this spring and summer. The current offerings are:

National Travel for Teams Grant (Juniors & Adults)
Junior Grant Application For Individual Travel To National Tournaments
Junior Team Tennis Grant for New Teams
Middle States District Grant for Providers (max. $750)

PATD Gold Cup

Gold Cup is PATD's Exclusive Discount Junior Tennis Program serving Beginner/Intermediate, Intermediate and Advanced level junior athletes in the Philadelphia tri-county area. The program's purpose is to prepare young athletes for their Junior or Senior High School tennis teams and Tournament level play.
