What is Diversity and Inclusion (D&I)?

A strategic priority for the USTA and one of our core values. Diversity allows us to touch "All of America," and Inclusion allows "All of America" to touch us.

At USTA Northern California we believe that diversity is a key ingredient in the creation of a 21st century and beyond high performance organization.

Our mission is to address the changing face of our communities and create an organization that fosters inclusiveness. We work hard to ensure that the fundamental values of our organization are not just understood by staff and volunteers, but that they are reflected every day in our day-to-day operations.

We believe that our responsibility as the National Governing Body for the sport obligates us to identify and lead in removing barriers to allow us to be inclusive so tennis reflects all of America.

  • Reflect the Communities We Serve:
We strive to attract and retain diverse volunteers, employees and donors representative of the communities we serve.
  • High Performing People:
We strive to attract and retain talented and diverse people, and to create an inclusive environment where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
  • Diversity Supplier:
We achieve this by aligning diversity efforts with organizational business objectives to ensure service to all
